Antique HUSUN Sextant Kelvin & Hughes England 1940's Marine Instruments BRASS!!!
This is a very nice collectors Sextant made by  Kelvin, Bottomley & Baird Ltd. & Henry Hughes & Son Ltd. in association with Marine Instruments Ltd. out of London.  This piece appears to have all parts and pieces and remains in functional condition, although some maintenance is likely needed.  This piece also comes with the original dovetail box which is quite nice.  I have seen several of these pieces sold in the past and believe this is an earlier version of what is usually sold due to it being constructed of all brass with no paint.  That and the label in the box having the full corporation names of the companies that worked to create this piece rather than what I have seen before being labeled as just "Kelvin & Hughes."  It is a very nice piece and very beautiful.
Everything is in good condition overall I would say.  There is a beautiful aged patina to the brass of the piece which is commensurate with the age.  The wooden box does have a crack on the top and the bottom and does not have the key any longer.  The box is unlocked so you can close the lid and the hinges for transport and be able to re-open it.  The case is lined with green felt.
The case measures in at 10 3/8" wide, 11" deep, and 5 11/16" tall.  It all weighs in at 9 pounds, 12.7 ounces total.
